…Alex Rodriguez.

No big surprise there, as A-Rod led the entire WORLD in the major offensive categories. There’s also little surprise (to me, at least), that the vote was NOT unanimous.

Morneau Edges Past Jeter For MVP

Justin Morneau edged Derek Jeter for the Most Valuable Player Award.

As much as I’d like to, I really can’t argue against it. Morneau had a GREAT year and led his team to an incredible come-back.

On a related note, the Boston EMS has issued a "stand-down" order for all of their personnel. It was feared that there would be mass suicide attempts had Jeter beaten "Big Papi" for the award.

Jeter’s still in his prime, with no signs of slowing down. Like a fine wine, he just keeps on getting better.
